If you are anything like me (re: a cooking beginner), definitely give this dish a try. It’s a game changer. These lettuce wraps are delicious, healthy, and incredibly easy to make. Plus it takes only 20 minutes to make, tops!
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound group chicken
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, diced
¼ cup hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon chopped ginger
2 green onions, sliced
Kosher salt and black pepper, to taste
Sriracha, to taste
1 head of butter or iceberg lettuce
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and add ground chicken. Cook until lightly browned (approximately 5 minutes). Add in onions.
In a separate bowl, mix together garlic, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and ginger. Add salt and black pepper to taste.
Pour wet contents into skillet and stir together.
Once mixed, add green onions, stir.
To serve, spoon chicken mixture into center of a lettuce leaf. Add Sriracha to taste and extra green onions for garnish.
